Bismillah
selamat paaagi. sarapan apa pagi ini?
saya barusan sarapan nasi pecel ((berattt)) dan tiba-tiba ingat sama roti
semenjak nikah dan punya suami dan anak pemakan roti kelas kakap, akhirnya saya sering bikin roti.
pertama kali bikin roti, langsung sukses? ya! sukses gagalnya. zzz
coba kedua kali, sama gagalnya. tiga empat lima pun sama. kasian ya, iya.
kasian tepung sama telurnya, pemirsa. akhirnya kapok. malas coba lagi. ngulen itu pegal kapten. apalagi hasilnya kayak bola tennis, susah dikunyah apalagi di telan. juga tiap sore 'dirayu' sama suara nyanyian dari speaker abang roti yang lewat depan rumah. tinggal panggil, beli, bayar, makan, kelar. ga pake drama ngulen dan roti batu. hehe.

another ice cream and a little thought
sampai akhirnya saya terpikir bahwa menjadi baik itu tidak mesti sempurna. tidak harus menjadi baik dimata semua orang, because that's impossible. yang paling penting, kerjakan apa yang baik yang disuruh oleh Allah, dan kehidupan akan menyortir orang-orang buruk yang tidak senang dengan kita. terdengar klise ya? memang. but "you can't please everyone in this whole world, there will always be one-two-or-three people who don't like you, no matter how hard you try to please them"
kita tidak sempurna, and we don't have to. biarlah orang lain tidak suka karena itu bukan urusan kita, itu urusan mereka dengan hatinya. dengan itu, kita bisa hidup lebih nyaman, tidak merasa berkompetisi menjadi seseorang dengan label b-a-i-k. "life is not a competition between one another, but the competition between us and ourselves".
saya pernah baca quote tentang ini. jadikan hal baik menjadi hal yang sering kita lakukan sehingga bisa menjadi kebiasaan. a super nice quote, so i made a copy for myself.

3 ingredients! blueberry ice cream
Tinggal di gresik bikin tenggorokan selalu minta yang
dingin-dingin, sejuk, menyegarkan. Karena daerahnya dekat laut dan banyak
pabrik bikin udaranya berasa super gerah. Kalau jemur baju, pas lagi terik
sejam juga sudah kering. hehe. Disyukuri saja yaa. Intinya jadi selalu mau buka
kulkas. Kali ini buat persediaan di freezer, saya bikin es krim (lagi). Supeeer
simple tapi rasanya enaak. Anak-anak doyan, ayahnya-pun nyemilin ini terus. Hehe
Coba bikin yuuk! HANYA 3 BAHAN dan gampang nemuin bahannya +
1 bahan optional sebagai perasa si es krim. Saya pake blueberry karena pas buka
kulkas, nemu selai blueberry nganggur jadilah dimasukkan. Sebenarnya akan lebih
seger pakai buah asli, diblender sebentar, tapi anmanya mamak mamak yaaa, apa
yang ada harus dimanfaatkan. haha.

packing. hiks!
i have a little announcement, that next month our family will be moving to Surabaya.
my husband was transferred from Soekarno-Hatta to Juanda Airport
feelin' happy and sad at the same time!
i'm happy because we have a lot of family there (my hubby's big fam)
and sad to leave a very good neighbors
and also left the place that we call "home" for the last few years. hiiiks
other than that, i have a little problem, yes, packing.
(packing is NOT an easy job especially with TWO kids around)
but hopefully all will according to plan. Aamiin.
but yesterday, Shofi ask for her favorite oatmeal cookies.
and ended up with 2 small jars of cookies and 1 small cake. lol
life is hard, but it will be lighter if you chew some sweets.
hahaha

another late post. oops!
hello again!
this afternoon i had a little free time. shofi is still sleeping.
i ended up editing a few new photos from camera and also found some old pictures in my laptop.
so i decided to post them first. it's better late than never right?
and after seeing these buns photos, I'll try to make it again. i wish. someday.
cooking process tends to make me tired, it needs hours and hours to make a buns.
so i prefer to make dessert lately. all you need is just mix the ingredients, put it into the oven,
frost or glaze and it's done.
another reason, my husband always opened the refrigerator every few hours looking for cakes,
cupcakes, pie or another sweet things. lol
and these are another pictures of cake from last month
cheesecake and a little girl for breakfast :p
thats all for today.
keep smiling because tomorrow is friday, yaay!

an eggless chocolate cake
few days ago i really wanted to make (eat) a chocolate cake
but when I opened the fridge, i ran out of eggs. dang!
so i ended up googling and found an eggless chocolate cake recipe
waittt. a cake without eggs? oh well.
but to satisfy my sweet tooth, i finally tried to make it.
surprisingly it turned out very tasty!
sweetness from the condensed milk is very fitting combined with dark chocolate.
i made mine into 2 pieces of cake with a very small size tins.
i also made butter frosting for the cake and topped it with some (a lot) of sprinkles
so it looked like a "real cake".
here it is!
not bad for an eggless cake isn't it? :))
i'm glad that my hubby liked it too.
and Shofi. yes she looks like the most happiest little girl on earth when she saw the sprinkles.
she didn't even want to wait until i was done taking pictures.
this is the recipe from Chef In You (thanks for this magical recipe)
click this link to see step-by-step photos.
it'll make our life a little easier, right?
yesss. i do love step-by-step photos. lol
and i used this recipe for the frosting. i just made a half of the recipe.

it's a cinnamon rolls!
hello! this is a night update, i'm writing this while waiting for my hubby to come home from work
shofi already asleep, it means i have a little time to fulfill my promise
i'll share a cinnamon rolls recipe for you to make it tomorrow, maybe? :D
it seems many of you are curious to make this delicious bread rolls
these little rolls smells like heaven
the combination of freshly baked bread and cinnamon really, really, really pamper your nose
"Trust me, your self-control will disappear after you make these. They are completely irresistible. Just wait until you smell them baking! I want to bottle that scent and wear it forever." -Sally
no one can resist a soft texture of bread filled with sugar-cinnamon-butter
i ended up with 3 rolls in a row. lol
i used a recipe from sallys baking addiction (thankyou so much for this amazing recipe)
the recipe is so easy to follow and her photos makes me want to lick my screen
so if you want to make some snacks to accompany your cup of coffee or tea,
this is a perfect recipe for you.

Easy Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
recipe source: sallys baking addiction
Ingredients:
Rolls
2 and 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 package Red Star Platinum Yeast (I used Fermipan)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk
2 and 1/2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1 large egg
Filling
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 and 1/2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Coffee Glaze
1 cup powdered (confectioners') sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons strong coffee (or use milk/cream instead)
Directions:
Make the dough:
- Set aside 1/2 cup of flour. In a large bowl, toss the 2 and 1/4 cups flour, the sugar, salt, and yeast together until evenly dispersed. Set aside.
- Heat the water, milk, and butter together in the microwave until the butter is melted and the mixture is hot to touch. About 125F-130F degrees. Stir the butter mixture into the flour mixture. Add the egg and only enough of the reserved flour to make a soft dough. I only needed 1/3 cup, but you may need the full 1/2 cup. Dough will be ready when it gently pulls away from the side of the bowl and has an elastic consistency.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 3-4 minutes. Place in a lightly greased bowl (I used non-stick spray) and let rest for about 10 minutes.
Make the filling:
- After 10 minutes, roll the dough out in a 14x8 inch rectangle. Spread the softened butter on top. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle it all over the dough. Add more cinnamon/sugar if desired. Roll up the dough tightly. Cut into 11 even pieces and place in a lightly greased 9-inch round pan. I used a pie dish, lightly sprayed with nonstick spray. Loosely cover the rolls with aluminum foil and allow to rise in a warm, draft-free place for 60-90 minutes. Here is what I do: heat the oven to 200F degrees. Turn oven off. Place rolls inside oven and allow to rise.
- After the rolls have doubled in size, preheat the oven to 375F. Bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly browned. I covered the rolls with aluminum foil after 15 minutes to avoid heavy browning.
Make the glaze:
- Right before serving, top your cinnamon rolls with glaze. Mix the powdered sugar and coffee together until smooth and drizzle over rolls. You may replace the coffee with milk or cream instead. If you prefer a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar and then add salt to cut the sweetness, if desired.
yes, you need to make this in your life. lol
and oh, instagram has confused me these last two days
i can't leave any comments on other people's photos and even on my own photo
i've updated mine to the latest version but it didn't work. at all
if anyone of you have a solution to fix this, please let me know
thankyou :)
it's almost 12 here, so i need to say bye for now
i'll be back for another post including shofi's photos. maybe tomorrow
well, good night ;)
