rain is a good sign

it's been raining lately. for me the rain always brings fond memories dancing in mind. it's like the sky missed the ground, then it send water droplets to answer the longing. romantic. and, did i ever tell you that i do love the smell of the wet land the after the rain? one of the best smell in the whooole world :D

i've passed a couple of afternoons just by watching the rain behind my window, sitting on my bed accompanied by a glass of hot tea or coffee with some bread or cookies while watching my babygirl sleeping with her favourite blanket with raindrops as the backsound. i think we all agree, rain is a blessing, rain is a good sign :')

sunday is almost over here, and i'm still waiting for my hubby to come home from work. yes, sunday and work what a productive weekend, huh? today, i overheard some people said that I love my hubby right out loud, then let me say this, "when i love, i love fully".

anyway i'm writing this post after eating a big plate of spaghetti and now i'm munching oreos. i won't stop until monday. yes please? well then, i need to finish my oreos.
so, goodnight! ;p

meat oh meat

just re-read my last post. i forgot that i had promised to give a simple recipe for making steak. i became forgetful lately. i'm sorry. many things that are often overlooked. maybe, because i'm getting older, NO? (i hope not) or think too much about something that doesn't need to be exaggerated. oh, well that's what happened to me recently, i think too much about something that isn't real, or may not even exist. i need to solve them as soon as a blink. ok talking about this post, did i mention that i want to write about steak recipe for you? sigh~

marinade recipes
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

mix everything in a container and put the meat that has been cut and let stand in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. the longer the better to allow the flavors permeate.

mushroom sauce
1 tablespoon margarine
1/4 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
10 pieces button mushrooms, thinly sliced
4 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon flour
100 ml of milk (plain)
salt and pepper to taste
heat margarine and saute onions and garlic until brown add oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper and stir well. add the flour and milk, and cook until thickened, put mushrooms, stir again.
turn off the heat

heat non-stick pan, put the meat on top. pour the remaining marinade sauce little by little and cook until well done (mine overcooked :s ). serve with mushroom sauce, fries or mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables.

well done, hubby :)

just passed a busy week (phew!) Eid al-Adha, several deadlines and unfinished work. but the good news is my husband's family came to visit our house for a few days. home became more crowded than usual (yay!). unfortunately they have to go back to surabaya faster than the first plan, my father in-law got a phonecall and his job need to be done immediately. and oh, as i wrote in the previous post aboy my hubby's exam, he has completed the exam and the results have come out. Alhamdulillah he graduated with satisfactory results. yes, i'm a proud wife (bigsmile). in return i made him a 'congratulation cake' :)

this is just a quick update. Shofi is crying and i'm not good at calming a baby while updating a blog as well hehe. but talking about shofi, did i mention that she grew so fast? oh ok, it's a thousand times already. but yes she did. she's 8.5kgs right now. well then, on the next post i'll give you a simple steak recipe. (steak is one way out when you have a lot of freeze meat). gotta go now!
don't forget to grab your lunch ;)
