another ice cream and a little thought

sampai akhirnya saya terpikir bahwa menjadi baik itu tidak mesti sempurna. tidak harus menjadi baik dimata semua orang, because that's impossible. yang paling penting, kerjakan apa yang baik yang disuruh oleh Allah, dan kehidupan akan menyortir orang-orang buruk yang tidak senang dengan kita. terdengar klise ya? memang. but "you can't please everyone in this whole world, there will always be one-two-or-three people who don't like you, no matter how hard you try to please them"

kita tidak sempurna, and we don't have to. biarlah orang lain tidak suka karena itu bukan urusan kita, itu urusan mereka dengan hatinya. dengan itu, kita bisa hidup lebih nyaman, tidak merasa berkompetisi menjadi seseorang dengan label b-a-i-k. "life is not a competition between one another, but the competition between us and ourselves".

saya pernah baca quote tentang ini. jadikan hal baik menjadi hal yang sering kita lakukan sehingga bisa menjadi kebiasaan. a super nice quote, so i made a copy for myself.

a new member of our family, Daniyal.

hi helloo
I finally had a little time to write again on this blog
and i'm back with a happy news! YAY
finally after waiting for (almost) 41 weeks. (yes, you read it right. 41 weeks)
our second son was born on the 6th of July, 3,65kg weight and 51cm long.
i'm very relieved that the second birth is also a natural labor and running smoothly.
Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah.
it begins with contractions at 4 am, and he finally born at 7:59 am.
Thank God, a few hours were full of pain finally passed. phew!
i'd like to say thank you for every prayer you sent to us. it really means a lot.
THANK YOU!

and here's some photos that i took a few days after he was born.

time, hold on!

my early days have been focused on my works. i've prepared some sample of my baby stuff's project. i was busy with all of my routine activities as a wife and a mom, and thank God, i love it. my thirst for going out slowly fades. I've never been so excited to spend my time in the bedroom (as my workspace).

yesterday my mom took time to meet with us before taking flight to medan. we only met about 5 hours, but that's enough for daughter-grandson-and-grandmother's meeting. she'll come back here few days later before take another flight back to makassar. i kissed and hugged her. has been almost five months since we last met. she looks a little tired. when i asked her about it, she replied with "I am fine", and smiled. yes, she was fine. i mean, she looks ok, but five months is enough to add one or two wrinkles on her face :(

time flew. it feels like just a few days ago i was busy complaining about my college-life, was busy with morning briefing in the office, and have a lot of time laughing with my friends. but now, i have a new routine, i have a new life. i realize that time is not to be wasted. the time is running and nobody can't stop it. and a few minutes ago i found this sentence on twitter
"love your parents. we are so busy growing up, we often forget they are also growing old."
i kept repeating these words in my head for few minutes. and will continue to remember it as a reminder when i'm too busy with my own life.

and look! someone is also growing very fast. somebody please tell me, where's my little baby?

how deep is your love?

been a long time until this new post. kinda busy with my little babygirl (she grew so fast!) and being a cheerleader for my husband. he just completed his examination.
Thank God, it's over and all we can do now is just pray for a good news :)

well, based on the title of this post, i'd like to ask you something. "how deep is your love?"
have you ever heard these words?  me? i heard it a lot. (maybe) many people asked their partner with that sentence, and all they want is just need to hear something sweet and heavenly words like "it's as deep as deepest sea" and bla and the bla. because people tend to hear something they want to listen.

i've asked this question (few times) to my hubby, actually. as a new couple, that question always sounded in my head everytime i saw him busy with his job or his game or his book. until i realized every people need their "me time".

but everytime i asked this stupid question, (as a woman) i always wanted a long and sweet words (which most of it i've already forgotten). but then i feel this is just a temporary feeling of pleasure.
i mean, sweet words isn't a guarantee of happy life, literally. i found so much happiness from every little thing he did in everyday life. like the way he throw me his wet towel after a bath, the way he sang our childhood song "susan, susan, kalau gede mau jadi apa?" or on every stupid jokes he made :))

i've been thinking about the meaning of love. and the answer is, love is a feeling of excitement. yes, it's all about feeling, i can't even describe it in words.
based on that thoughts, i realized, feeling sometimes rises and falls you can feel both happened within a very short time as a blink. but that is love, sometimes bright sometimes fade.
so, back to the point. for me, there will be no more such questions as "how deep is your love?",
love can't be said with words. you can only feel it. and i will not promise that i will love you forever,
because forever doesn't exist in this real world. it's better to promise a thing you'll fulfilling, rather than a sweet promise you'll be breaking.

these are some of my breakfast photos lately,

Keep Calm and Forget the Nightmare

awakened by a nightmare this morning, too bad for a lovely sunny morning
so, i open my laptop early than usual, look at some beautiful blogs and end up with updating mine.
thank God, i feel much more better now :)
it's few days before Eid, i hope you have a great day in Ramadan this year
i feel so blessed every day, good and bad things can make our life meaningful
let's called it life lessons.

i honestly don't know what to write right now, so i decided to write some things that make me smile and even laugh lately:

1. some of my friends are getting married! (a very much happiness)
2. one of my best friends @tatuw has successfully completed her final exam
(finally! proud of her)
3. shofi grew cheerful, has a weight gain that makes her cheeks more chubby
4. my husband spent his whole time off with us at home :') lovely
5. new tricks from shofi, such as laughing, and trying to speak
(a language that only God understand)
6. headband orders from some friends. it's happy to be back after a few months without any productive work (will tell you about my headband projects detail later)
7. phonecall from mom

see? i have a lot of reason to be happy, so why be afraid of bad dreams?
why don't make your 'happy' list too?
write them with a smile and get a good day!

and look! shofi say hi :D

classic question

why you chose to marry at a young age when you still can be free and do the things you like without having to think about a husband and children?
an old and classic question. guess what? yesterday, my friend asked me this question (again).
i've answered this question many times since i got married last year.

well, the answer is still the same, i want to speed up my happiness. how?
simple!
for me, happiness is build a happy family. without worry about cliche things like, young age, wealth, or maybe popularity. in the end, everybody (or just me, no?) want a true happiness.
feeling loved, that's an important thing. for me, happiness is having a husband as your friend, bestfriend, partner, and also as a bodyguard to define the limits in everyday acts.
this limitation will make our lives more purposeful, no time wasted just to enjoy the youth. as everybody know that will end up sooner or later.
and then, having children. seeing them grow up, have a lover, and finally got married.
it is a happiness that I want to see straight before i was too old.

if you could start your happy life since you were young, why wait until you're old?
God always be with us, so why worry?
it might sound very classic. but that's my answer ;p

dear lovely people, have a good friday!
xoxo
